The Department of Pharmacology was established in 1985 to fulfill the needs of diploma students and later on in 1991 for undergraduate students. In the year 2002, postgraduate course in the department of Pharmacology was started. Since the inception of post graduate wind, department of pharmacology has produced more than 150 research articles in various international/national peer reviewed impact factor journals. The department has excellent facilities to carryout research in the field of hematology, cardiovascular Pharmacology, diabetes, hepatic complications, immunosuppressive disorders and also to explore mutagenicity, anxiolytic, sedative, nootropic, wound healing activities of natural/herbal as well synthetic drugs. The department is tied up with Green Chem, Phytotech Pharma and various other pharmaceutical/clinical research organizations. The department of Pharmacology was acknowledge by RGUHS and granted research fund for research proposal entitled “Pharmacodynamic interaction of garlic with calcium channel blockers in rats”.

that are dedicated to learning, teaching and research
with a rich heritage dedicated to the discovery,
development and manufacture of pharmaceutical products
through advances in science and technology. Together
with cutting-edge facilities, the 4-year Bachelor
of Pharmacy degree and the 2-year Master in Pharmacy
degree courses offers quality learning experience
under the tutelage of dedicated teaching staff using
innovative teaching methods, and who, being actively
involved in research, provide students with opportunities
to participate in various research projects.
